Joanne Cordaro MD FAAP
Dr. Joanne Cordaro is a board certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She obtained her medical degree from SUNY Upstate College of Medicine at Syracuse in 2002. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Rochester in 2005, followed by a year as outpatient chief resident. Dr. Cordaro has been in practice locally since 2006 and recently opened Eastside Pediatrics. She is a Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. Dr. Cordaro is the co-chair of the Baby Safe Sleep Coalition of Monroe County. She enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and two children.
Sudipa Barr MD FAAP
Dr. Sudipa Barr is a board certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She obtained her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 2002. After completing her pediatric residency at The Cleveland Clinic, she continued on for an additional year of training in pediatric endocrinology at Rainbow Babies & Childrens Hospital in Cleveland. Dr. Barr began practicing pediatrics in 2005 and working at the Cleveland Clinic Pediatric Emergency Department. She has been in Rochester since 2010 and is a Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. Dr. Barr enjoys spending time with children, hiking, and traveling.
Dr Wail Tfankji MD FAAP
Dr. Wail Tfankji is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. As a clinical instructor at the University of Rochester Medical Center, he brings over a decade of expertise in child healthcare. Since starting in practice in Rochester in 2017, Dr. Tfankji has been dedicated to fostering healthy development from infancy through adolescence.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo in 2009 and completed his residency at Kansas University Hospital and Children’s Mercy Hospital. With a keen interest in newborn care, preventive care, and developmental pediatrics, Dr. Tfankji is known for his compassionate approach and commitment to patient education. He works closely with families to ensure the highest standard of care.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Tfankji enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
Amanda Baldauf PA
Amanda is a nationally certified physician assistant with experience in a variety of clinical settings including hospital medicine, office based practice and emergency medicine. She obtained her master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from SUNY Upstate College of Medicine at Syracuse in 2017. During her PA training, she completed her pediatrics rotation with Dr. Cordaro and became part of the Eastside Pediatrics family.
Tatum Sahli, MHC-LP
We’re excited to welcome Tatum to the Eastside Pediatrics team as the Behavioral Health Care Manager for our Collaborative Care program. Before her master’s, Tatum proudly graduated from West Virginia University. Go, Mountaineers! Tatum is ready to make a positive impact in guiding our patients toward improved mental well-being.
